APRIL

April 9, 2005 - PLAY OR MUSICAL - Johnson City: Cowboy Songs and Poetry. This annual gathering of cowboys at the Johnson Settlement presents lighter moments of the Old West. At the cabin where President Johnson's grandparents lived and ran a cattle business, modern cowboys meet to sing traditional songs, talk about the old days in poetry, and spin tales the equal of any which were told when the west was really wild. This is 1860's entertainment you can't afford to miss. Time: 1pm to 4pm. Cost: Free. Location: Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, Johnson Settlement, Johnson City, Texas. Region: Texas Hill Country. Held annually.

June 2 - August 20, 2005 and July 4th (Nightly Excluding Sundays) - PLAY OR MUSICAL - Canyon: TEXAS LEGACIES, The Adventure of a Lifetime. Outdoor Epic Theatre at its best. Performed summers in the Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo, TX, this production showcases the best in acting, dancing, live music and theatre music that the stage has ever seen. The history of the Panhandle has never been more alive. Time: Production starts at 8:30pm. Cost: $5-$26. Location: Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo, TX. Region: Texas Panhandle Plains. June 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, 24-25, 2005 - PLAY OR MUSICAL - Glen Rose: The Promise. A musical drama in Glen Rose, Texas that fuses the timeless story of Jesus Christ with high-quality, state of the art technology bringing to life the birth, ministry, death resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ in majestic splendor. Performances are held each Friday & Saturday night in an outdoor theatre with seating for 3,000. Time: 8:30pm. Cost: Adult $8 to $24, Seniors (Ages 62+) $2 off, Students (Ages 13-18 and College students w/school ID) $3 off, Children (Ages 4-12) $4 off.
