True to our heritage, we like to celebrate in
New Braunfels.
Our largest annual event is the world-renowned
Wurstfest,
held each November in honor of the art of sausage making and our
German ancestry. The Fiesta Mexicana and Kindermasken Parade take
place in early May.
One of the oldest and largest Texas county fairs happens in September. Festtage in New Braunfels starts in November
and highlights 17 holiday events in 52 days, not to mention live
theatre, choir performances, and numerous other events year-round.
Enjoy
a little bit of Germany smack dab in the middle of The Texas
Hill Country.
Known
the world over, Wurstfest
honors the art of making sausage. It's a ten day celebration
stuffed with family fun. Enjoy German fare like sausage and
strudel, pretzels and potato pancakes. Then kick up your heels
to live tunes from polka greats like Myron Floren and Jimmy
Sturr. It's the best of the wurst. Wurstfest
always starts on the Friday before the first Monday in November.
