Arts Alive! Home & Garden Festival. Gardening seminars, entertainment & more than 200 vendor booths. Great family fun. Last weekend in February.

Red River Wine Festival. "Where Boots and Bottles Meet." Fine wine... good food... fun times. Celebrating the Taste of Texas Wines. www.redreverwinefestival.com. 3rd weekend in April.

Red River Rodeo. A professional circuit rodeo. Held the second Thursday, Friday and Saturday in June.

Legends of Western Swing Music Festival. Dance to the music of legendary Swing Bands, noon until midnight each day. www.legendsofwesternswing.com. Third Thursday, Friday and Saturday in June.

Texas Ranch Roundup. Get a real taste of Texas' Cowboy heritage. Real working cowboys from 12 of the largest, most historic ranches in Texas converge on the city for this annual event. Third weekend in August.

The Hotter 'N Hell Hundred. One of the oldest and largest cycling events in the nation, with riders from virtually every state and several foreign countries. 100 miles in 100 degree weather. www.hh100.org. Held 9 days before Labor Day each year.

Fallsfest in Lucy Park. Concerts, arts/crafts, food, games, and more entice the approximately 10,000 people who attend each year. Every September.

Downtown City Lights Festival and Parade. Kick off the Christmas Season with this annual event held in historic downtown Wichita Falls. A lighted parade, music, children's activities, food booths... and of course, Santa Clause make this a night for the entire family. Third Saturday in November.

MSU-Burns Fantasy of Lights Display. You'll find thousands of persons, many traveling hundreds of miles, to view the lights, a continuing memorial to a couple who wanted to share their Christmas with others. This Christmas Fantasy, made up of dozens of animated displays and thousands of lights, can be seen on the campus of Midwestern State University. First Friday of December thru January 1st.
