The Woodlands Waterway Art Festival
The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, a juried fine art show featuring more than 200 national and regional artists of various mediums, annually in the heart of The Woodlands. The event takes place along the meandering Waterway from The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center alongside The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, culminating at Town Green Park. This beautifully landscaped site features ample parking, water taxi and trolley service along the entire length of the festival, concessions within the festival site, and an array of eateries and shops within walking distance of the festival. In addition to the art on display from hundreds of artists, patrons enjoy live entertainment on two stages.

Red Hot and Blue
The Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza
The Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza is produced by The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau. This event hosts tens of thousands of people annually in The Woodlands Town Center to celebrate America's Independence. It is held in Waterway Square on the banks of The Woodlands Waterway®. Entertainment during the celebration includes live music, face painting, strolling performers and much more. Additionally, there are the ever-popular watermelon and hot dog eating contests. This spectacular event is free and open to the public.

The Woodlands Children's Festival
The annual Children's Festival is a magical world where learning is not only fun, but also exhilarating, awe-inspiring and eye-opening. The Children's Festival is an incredible experience. It encourages children to do the things they love most - flex their imaginations, express themselves, learn, grow and play together. The Festival is designed to educate and entertain pre-school, elementary and intermediate school students. It showcases renowned children's entertainers in a fascinating lineup of music, pantomime, original theater, science experiments, magical stories, puppetry, humor and award-winning songs.

Lighting of the Doves
The Lighting of the Doves is a long-time commemorative festival in The Woodlands celebrating over 25 years. The ceremonial festival takes place at Town Green Park, just along the banks of The Woodlands Waterway®. Symbolizing peace during the holidays, the ceremonial illumination of the giant doves has attracted thousands of visitors each year, signaling the start of the magical season in The Woodlands at the holiday headquarters of The Woodlands Town Center.

IWOW - International Winter On The Waterway
Come celebrate the cultural diversity represented in The Woodlands, Texas. This event provides an excellent opportunity to showcase countries from all over the world and their unique holiday traditions. From foods, arts & crafts, to music and entertainment, iWOW adds an international flavor to The Woodlands Town Center's holiday celebrations. IWOW is in conjunction with the Lighting of the Doves event.

The Woodlands Ice Rink
The Woodlands Ice Rink
Open from mid November through mid January, the coolest place to be this winter is The Ice Rink At The Woodlands Town Center, the largest seasonal ice rink in the southwest.

Winter Wonderland
The Winter Wonderland is a two-acre area of lighted storybook displays that surrounds The Ice Rink. Enjoy a walk along the carpeted pathways as you delight in the fantasyland of magical, lighted toy soldiers, elves, doves, musical angels and snowmen.
